How do we save money?
Utility Warehouse – as a partner I am committed to helping people save money through their utility bills including mobile phone networks, home insurance and now with boiler insurance.
There is also a cashback card which is a card where you load money on and use to spend on your everyday items. This in turn accumulates cash back on all your utility bills. It works out cheaper than the average utility site plus it is a one-stop shop for everything. You can get an affiliate link yourself and help other householders save money.
Whenever you go shopping, check out “cashback sites”. The one I use is Topcashback. Earn money on all your shopping – sounds counterintuitive, but it’s quite nice to know that if you’re buying something you’d purchase anyway, there’s an incentive to earn a bit of cash too!
Another useful site is Quidco.
Simply search for your retailer in the search box, then click through to the site to earn your cashback. Savvy shoppers check what your return is – it pays to research! (Pun intended!)
Savings accounts can earn you around 4-5% interest if you do searches online to work out the best account to use. Check out this link for a comparison.
You could also consider setting yourself up with a trading account on the stock exchange. Or start index investing – check out this Amazon Book.
Where else do you want to save money?
If you want to save money on basic household items, Lidl and Aldi are great places to shop.
For example, Lidl have “Aussie Shampoo” at 99 pence per bottle. The bottles look identical to the £4.99 versions in mainstream supermarkets and chemists. Lidl & Aldi regularly carry weekly offers so check them out. I’ve bought kinesio tape and running leggings at a very good price.
